Default Visa for Mexico ports for Non US Citizens on NCL ???

i'm an Indian Citizen and US resident with a valid multiple entry US Visa. I'm reserved on the Norwegian Dream from houston halting at Cozumel and Belize - would i need a Visa from the Mexican embassy prior to boarding?
I have heard that the NCL staff would keep my passport for the duration of the cruise and they would take care of the stamping of my passport or whatever they need to do to allow me to disembark without obtaining a prior Visa.
Can anyone confirm or deny this

I would recommend that you contact NCL directly. While we might think that the rules are consistent between cruise lines, I don't think they are. Went on an NCL cruise some years ago with a non-US citizen friend. She lacked something and had to give them driver's license and everything else she did have before they would let her back into U.S. when we came back. So, try to get something in writing from NCL if you can, just to be safe.
