Default Vancouver-U.S. $ or credit card - airport/hotel/cruise port?

Do I need to have CD for ride from Vancouver airport to hotel and from hotel to pier? Will probably mostly use credit card for meals, etc. and get some CD from ATM near hotel.

You can use US dollars in Vancouver for just about anything...but you can also use your credit card for the cab. My DH does this all the time for business.

We've never had any trouble using US dollars in Canada...just have to remember to use up the Canadian $$ before you go home...
