Default Air $$... Bummer

Going at the end of Jan to MIA or FLL from Minneapolis. The cost is high as well as poor flight times. I cant get a return flight back until 7PM! What in the world do I do till 7PM?
I have heard the debate about adding more flights as the weather gets icky in the north...also about flights going up. Should I just take it or wait it out?
Best time to buy a bargain flight? Some say they post price drops on certain days...

Thanks, Karyn

Karyn, I can tell you we're scouting for flight to Miami from Michigan for Jan 13th cruise, and our scouter is finding the prices are best if booked about 3 months in advance. So we're waiting till October and hoping for a good price. Good Luck!!!

I have booked a few jan ski vacations and yes about 3 months or more out is good for prices. Also you get the best prices when staying over through the weekend. I specifically feel that leaving on a thurs and coming back on a tues has gotten me the best fares for some reason. As for what to do down here while waiting for your flight? That depends if you feel like carrying your luggage wherever you go!

I'm clueless about the pricing part, but as to what to do, the cruise lines usually offer some tours in the area. Since they put your luggage on the tour bus, you can see what Miami/FtL is like. Just a thought.
