1st time cruiser - Our ship docks at 7 a.m. on the last day and I've read that you are assigned a color or number that dictates your disembarkment. How will I know what time to have hubby pick us up (We live in Houston area and doesn't make sense to pay for 8 days parking).
I'd suggest that you call your DH when you dock. Generally, you'll be off the ship by 9 AM, but that's not written in stone! (It depends on how fast customs and immigration goes.)
If you don't have airline reservations you'll probably be among the last to disembark.
Have a wonderful cruise!
"A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour."
It all depends upon how far hubby has to travel to get to the pier.
Figure that you should be off the ship by 9am - 10 am at the latest.
If he is within a half-hour drive, call him once your tags are called, if he is an hour or a little more away, then call him once you dock.
It was funny, as soon as we hit port, I went outside on the Lido deck and EVERYONE out there had their cell phone to their ear. It was so strange after going a whole week with no cell phones (ah, what a nice break that was!)
Tip: If you want to drag your own luggage off, you can be the first to disembark.
We docked at 7am, but it took until 8:45am for them to get all the paperwork, etc., filed before the gangway could be lowered and passengers begin disembarking. Once off the ship, it took about 20-25 min. to get through customs.
