Default Replacement passenger?

We have a group of 4 cabins on the Conquest, for Dec. 24th. One of the couples may have to cancel. Can someone new take their place? We have already received our cruise documents. What kind of surcharges will their be? Thanks!

I think that one of the original passengers for that cabin has to stay on the manifest.

I'd sure call the cruise line on this one. It looks to me like that couple is going to be out some cash unless they have taken out cruise insurance and have a justifiable claim.
