I am really nervous about the virus that is now on FOS. We are scheduled to go on 12/17 and I would be devestated if our vacation was ruined due to illness. Can anyone calm me down please?
Have a drink while lounging in the sun, wash your hands regularly while onboard, enjoy the cruise and post lots of pictures when you return.

totally agree with Doug. The virus known as the Norovirus is nothing more that what we all know as the common "stomach bug" The ship will do its best to sanitize, and you need to do your part, simply practice basic hygenie- wash your hands after using the bathroom, and hope that your fellow passgeners do the same. That is is only preventative
Keep talking people...I'm not feeling too good about this right now. If the December 10th cruise is delayed, does that affect the others? What do they do for those people? HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Last I heard, Freedom is sailing tomorrow. They are really cleaning and disenfecting her! They want everyone to be well and are working hard to be sure that is what happens.
They have given this week's cruisers quite a deal. The price of this cruise is reduced and they get a price break on a future cruise. RCI is also puttin them up and giving them $$ for food.
The itinerary, needless to say, has changed.
This week's delay shouldn't affect next weeks cruisers.
Tomorrow Freedom will be the best cleaned ship on the high seas!

Michelle is totally correct. Freedom with be the most sanitized and cleaniest ship sailing. You need to take precautions to keep yourself from getting sick. Get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids, wash your hands after using the bathroom and before going to the buffet.
