Carnival Victory/review question
In doing my research for an upcoming cruise I read your staff review on the Carnival Victory and had a question.
I am getting mixed answers on rather or not it does have alternative dining for an additional cost. Your review mentions a "Bistro" on board the Victory.
But others have told me that is not on the Victory. I'd really like to know for sure. I find these dining options to be quite good, but my TA says she doesn't thinks it's there. Carnival's website is too vage. Usually your review's are pretty accurate, so I'm not sure.
I also noticed that at the beginnng of that review, you call it Destiny, so maybe you are getting the ships confused or assumed they are the same?
Can somebody clear this up for me? Thanks.
Have been on Victory 2x and there is no alternative dining except for the buffet.
Right.. no specialty restaurant on the Victory. There's not one on the Destiny either.
I'll have to go look at the review
OK.. just went and read the review. It never mentioned an alternate dining venue with a surcharge, like the Supper Clubs on the newer Carnival ships.
It did talk about the Seaview Bistro - which is the alterante dining in the evening at the buffet on Lido Deck. There is no extra cost to dine there.
Thought maybe I was crazy so went and read it again. Here is what it says that I cut and pasted from the review:
Kuki's review on Victory:
Sorry I don't mean to give you a hard time, I just got confused when I saw this so that others might as well.
I was kinda hoping there was one on board. I know now there is not.
