Default Taking food off ship

I was wondering if you are allowed to take food off the ship to shore excursions? I was hoping to be able to grab a couple sandwiches at 7 am for a day we are in port. Would I be able to do this on Carnival? Thanks, Carla

Take some sandwich bags with you, and order from room service.

Some ports of call don't allow you to bring food, plant products, etc. you, so you may want to check on that.

Will room service bring sandwiches at 6:30 in the morning? Its not limited to just breakfast foods?

Hi Carla,

You can order anything off the room service menu at any time!

However, as Kuki said, be sure that you're able to take food off the ship. Many ports forbid this. There will be a notice in the Caper's if you are not allowed to take food off the ship.

BTW, I'd be leery of taking a sandwich off the ship early in the morning for lunch! It's very hot in the ports and you could get food poisoning. You should be able to find good, safe food in the port area if you're not adventurous .

Hi Carla,
If you do order room service sandwiches, ask for no mayo ( major food poisoning risk) and maybe go for PBJ or cheese, both less likely to go bad than meat. Or take some protein bars with you. Less hastle.
