Looking for a two-part cruise

We want to take a cruise to Naples, Italy in August 2008, spend some time (2-3 weeks) with family in Italy and possibly cruise back to New York in September. Do you know of a cruise line that provides a trip like we this?

There's several options for you.

1. You could choose any cruise line sailing in Europe. Find an itinerary you like. Fly over, do the cruise, tour Italy etc, and then book the QM 2 for your return cruise to NY.

2. Book QM2 for an eastbound crossing - book another cruise in Europe, and do your tour, and book QM2 on the westbound back to NY.

You'd just have to check on the dates to see if the QM2 is doing those 6 day crossings on the dates you need.

There's a possiblity of looking for other lines doing repositioning cruises, but that time of year, it's not likely.

The issue is flying, one of us WON'T. We also aren't interested in touring, we want to spend time with family so we were looking for a way to get there (from New York/New Jersey) without flying, spend a couple of weeks with family and taking another ship back to New York/New Jersey. I wasn't sure if a cruise line would be willing to let us take an essentially one-way trip. I'll look into the QM2. Thanks Kuki
