We would like to go on a cruise with another family to the Carribean. Both families have Jr. High children. They like to "do" things (not just see things) while they are on the ship. Which line would be the best? We don't want to do Disney because it's too expensive.
I would definitely recommend Royal Caribbean's Freedom class. There is so much to do for Jr. High age kids. They would love the Flow-Rider....no doubt in my mind! My 50 year old "kid" (hubby) had the time of his life on the Flow-Rider. I promise, you can't go wrong!

I totally agree with ML, besides all the extra's which include the rock climbing wall, inline skating, ice skating, the entertainment can't be beat! There will soon be a sister ship, Liberty which will be doing an Eastern itin, so two to choose from.
There is also the Voyager class ship thats also great, except, no flow rider, which is a gas!
I have to agree with Mary Lou and Donna but I do need to add Carnival. The Royal Caribbean Voyager and Freedom class ships will have something for everyone in the family.
The Carnival Spirit class ships will also offer something for everyone plus, in my opinion will give mom and dad a bit more variety and somewhat better food and shows to see. Also, the cabin sizes on Carnival are larger.
Either choice will be a good one.
