I've been in a cabin below the main show lounge (loud, but only until about 12:30 am and I'm still up and out), but never beneath the galley.
My next cruise, our cabin is directly under the galley. Is it really as bad as some cruisers say? I tend to stay out late and don't sleep in either. Horrible banging and bumping, or not? 6 am noise?
I don't think it's too late to switch cabins....

My sister and BIL did an inside cabin guarantee and got the one under the galley on the Carnival Miracle. It was their worse cruise. Noisy all night long. They complained many times and even went to the Pursers desk at 3 AM! Nothing helped and they were exhausted from no sleep. I think from now on they will pay the extra $ and chose a cabin...between passenger decks only.
