Default Carry on Bags

This has probably been asked a dozen times, but here goes: What is allowed to be carried on board (as opposed to checked baggage) and how many bags are you allowed per person? Do you take your first evenings outfits, swimsuits, etc.? Are there any restrictions at all? We are sailing on the Island Princess, February 2008 - Panama Canal
Thanks

Default Carry on Bags

You will probably get varied info. on this subject.

We take on board the same two - each "carry on" bags that we take on the plane. One actual roller carry on and one personal bag. In the carry on's we try to carry everything we will NEED for our first day of boarding just in case our checked bags are misplaced, not in our cabin when we need them, etc.

Hope this helps.

Be sure to carry on with you, any medications, valuables and your cameras. I also take a swim suit and a change of clothes for dinner just in case our luggage doesn't arrive in time.

I don't think the cruiselines have any restrictions as to the number of bags you either check or carry on. I carry on a very small bag with my medicine, toiletries and a change of clothes for dinner. Remember, you will be pulling or carrying that bag thru the terminal, up the escalators and/or elevators, over the gangway, etc.
