Question, I am taking my teenager daughter on cruise on Carnivals Imagination august 27th she is a total phone addict. Is there any way I can have any ship to shore phone calls blocked so when i am not in cabin she doesnt try and sneak phone calls to her boyfriend in North Carolina?
thanks I dont need a BIG surprise bill the end of the trip!

Gosh, that is a very good question. I was thinking that maybe you should just have the phone removed from your cabin, but that would be a safety issue. I would speak to guest relations when you arrive to see what can be done. Maybe just making your daughter aware of how much it will cost and that she will have to pay for it would make a difference?

Don't you have to furnish a credit card number to use those phones? If so just make sure she doesn't have access to a credit card when she is in the room.

Frankly I'd be very leary of traveling with a teen who I'd have to be concerned with making these calls when told it was forbidden.

Way too much other trouble they could get into onboard as well, if they aren't willing to listen to and obey even simple rules and restrictions.

Take the phone cord off when you leave the cabin. And, use whatever leverage you need to...i.e. take away her cell phone for a month or whatever if she violates your rules. At a buck a minute, time to get tough!

OOOPS. It is not a buck a minute but something like $10 a minute.
Sorry

i agree with KUKI --seems like simply explaining why and issuing the rules should be enough.WE parents are in control right?
