I'll be on the Norwegian Star soon and am wondering about the purity of the tap water. I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and that is equal to a lot of bottled water. At home I simply rely on the tap since it is good quality. On NCL is bottled water included in the soft drink deal you can purchase when boarding? If not, is it safe for me to refill my water bottle from the tap in my room or should I just bite the bullet and spend the money to purchase what I need? How filtered and safe is the ships water? The added expense is worth it if the water might make me ill.
On the Norwegian Dawn all of the drinking water was produced through the reverse osmosis process. I would presume that all ships do the same. You really cannot get better then that so don't worry about having to purchase bottled water.

I drink a lot of water too! I always filled up my bottle on the ship (Star and Wind). The water in the gyms is nice and cold!!
