Default Phoning & emailing Home

Hi All:

I am going on The Miracle on Sept 24th.

When I get into port I would like to find an internet cafe preferably with a call center so that can use my Pre Paid ATT card to phone home (ET Style ), and then check my email. Does anyone know where the Cafe's/Caling Centers are? I would like to avoid using the ship as I consider there pricing to be a rip off and prefer to leave my cell phone and laptop at home. The ship will be stopping in San Juan, St Thomas, and Tortala.

Thanks,

I know in San Juan, there is an internet cafe across the street in OSJ. You'll also find one in St. Thomas fairly close to the pier, they are usually close because a lot of the crew use them too. I find by using the cafe's in ports to be much quicker than the connections onboard the ships, and a fraction of the price.

Happy Sailing.

If you are pre-purchasing phone cards, BE CERTAIN you are buying INTERNATIONAL phone cards. There are many you can buy that are not, and thus you'll find they won't work.

You have received excellent advice from everyone. One other piece of advice is to make sure you have the 1-800 access number, for the country you are calling from, with you. There are different numbers for different countries: i.e. you call a different number if you are dialing from Mexico, The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, etc.

The numbers should be included with the card.

Take care,
Mike
