Default Difference in Categories?

I'm looking at booking a cruise to Alaska (Veendam May 2008). I am very worried about being clausterphobic so I think I should book an ocean-view room. Now I don't have any idea if the categories are important or not. Should I really spend more to stay in a C category than an F? Thanks for the advice.

the difference in catagories is all about location, location, location. Take a good look at the deck plans, we prefer something midships, not to high not to low, not too far from the elevators. I would go with an oceanview in Alaska
