Default Beach entry pool

Hello all,

I am trying to organize a group cruise for my family and some friends and a couple of people who would be coming would not physically be able to climb down a ladder to gain entry to the pool. So far I have only contacted Carnival regarding the Legend and all three pools on board have a wading area but require climbing down a ladder to get into the deeper pool.

Can anyone recommend a specific ship that has at least one pool on board with beach entry?

Thank you very much for assistance you can provide!

No beaches on board any ships that I know of. But, pools all have easy access. Wade in, then slide on into deeper side.

I should clarify. A "beach entry pool" is one that has wide steps from the shallow end so that a person can get into the pool even with a handicap -- so that it is as though you were walking into the ocean from the beach - no ladder. I did not mean to say that we were looking for sand on board the ship!

We were told by Carnival that all 3 pools on board the Legend had shallow wading areas but in order to get to deeper water a person is required to climb down the standard pool type ladder. This would be impossible for someone with a handicap.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

The Radiance class ships on Royal Caribbean (Radiance, Brilliance, Jewel, Serenade) have this type of pool entry in the Solarium pools. I think the Island Princess has a similary type entry to their Lotus Spa pool. The Grand class ships on Princess also have this feature at the aft Terrace Pool.

Lisa is correct: The Island Princess has this type of entry/exit from the Lotus pool.

Today is a good day. I learned something new. I never knew this type of entry on a pool was called "Beach Entry".

Take care,
Mike

The Coral Princess (sister ship to the Island) also has this type of entry to the Lotus Pool. This pool is also quite deep and has a swim against the current feature - have to push a button to activate.

Hopefully this works.......it is a picture of the steps down into the Solarium Pool on the Radiance of the Seas.

Lisa,

Here is one I took from the Panamaniac cruise on the Island Princess. It shows the Beach Entry. I really did love the Lotus pool. It was one, if not the most, beautiful pool areas I've seen on any ship. The other end was much shallower, with the swim against the current pool in the middle.

Take care,
Mike

also the main pool on RCCL Freedom of the Seas has a bench that goes around the pool, lots of folks sit on that bench and just put their feet in the water, same goes for Neptunes Reef Pool on the Golden Princess
