Rental Car - Port of Miami???

I have been told by 2 car rentals that I can leave my rented car at the port car dealer and also pick up at the port of Miami for my rental car...is this correct or not?

Can you tell us which rental company has an outlet right at the pier in Miami
Years ago Hertz used to, but that office disappeared. Have had to find other rental companies in downtown the last few years myself.

Hi Kuki,
This past Saturday, we rented with Dollar, they will pick you up from the pier using their courtesy shuttle, Thrifty will pick you up as well, as will AVIS (the downtown location NOT the airport location). Alamo will as well. And Hertz will reimburse you a cab fare to their location in lieu of picking you up. Btw, Dollar/Thrifty are located at the airport NOT on the pier itself. I think the closest physical location to the cruiseship terminal is the AVIS downtown office. The Avis airport location will NOT pick ya up from the pier.

OK, thanks Capt. So nothing has changed. I knew the companies had shuttles. Just thought someone had opened up a spot at the port itself.
