Default Your best guess for disembarkation time

Costa Mediterannea gets into port at 8:00 AM. What is your best guess for disembarkation time?

Would you try and make an 11:20 flight out of FLL?

or would you go for the cheaper flight out of West Palm Beach at 3:50?

If you opt for the later flight would you rent a car ( 4 people) or take a taxi? Rental option is $77.00 with Thrifty who will pick us up at Port Everglades and take us to FLL to get the car. We would them drop at West Palm.

I thought if we rented a car we could have lunch out side the airport and drop the car off around 2:45 for the 3:40 flight. But this option may be more work than it is worth.

If this was your family what would you do?

Thanks much!

In Ft Laud. I don't think you'd have a problem making the earlier flight. Just talk to guest relations, with air ticket in hand, and be in the first group off.

If you were sailing from Miami, I don't think you'd make it.

I disagree. Domestic check in requires that you are at the AP at least 1 hour in advance. That means you have to be at the AP by 10:20. Asuming 1/2 hour travel, you must leave port by 9:50. If you are not the 1st ones off the ship, if there's a problem w/ customs or immigration, if there's an accident on the high way if you get in late. . . . too many ifs for me.
