Default Booking cruiseline airfare

If you select the cruise lines airfare are you still able to select when you fly in and out, and at what time, or are you stuck with the times they give you.

Ideally we'd like to fly into our port city a day early but we're not sure if this is possible if we use the cruise lines airfare.

It's been many years since we have used the cruise/air....usually they take you the cheapest, which is to say, the longest..NOT always, but this is a more likely scenario.

You can pay a deviation fee for dates and time preferences, but for us we have always been able to do better...

There are situations, where c/a can be beneficial. We were booked on the Cruisemates transatlantic on the Freedom in April, and Carnival air was less $$ then what I could find on line.

You should easily be able to find your own flights and they's be cheaper and on the airline of your choice. By the time you pay the deviation fee, those air tickets are pricy, much better to book yourself and not rely on the cruiseline to do it for you.
