Sorry, no. But I noticed you spelled it right in your message (but not in the headline) so you can Google it.

Thank you for your reply. Google did not help much even the world map did not show any pier, however the boarding plan requires a tender so embarkation must be in the middle of the river. As for my spilling I will go to the corner of my room and spell out Greenwich 100 times.

Oldsalt.

Hi Oldsalt

Im from the uk & looking forward to my 1st cruise!

The Pier at Greenwich is very tiny & usually used for local london river thames transport. Its on the south side of the River Thames in London.

The general area Postcode is London SE10. Theres a tube (subway) station there called Cutty Sark named after the museum clipper boat in front of the Pier. Also known as the Cutty Sark Pier.

There are also main line overhead trains from Charing cross, Waterloo.

The area has a very large park & naval museum The National Maritime Museum which houses Napolian's uniform & also a planatarium & Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is set from there. Should you want to spend time there.

Hope this is of some help to you

I expect you will have the cruise ships tender at the pier as the River Thames is not suitable for a cruiser.

Enjoy your trip.

Thank you Oldsalt for the reply & if I can be of any more help let me know, Im looking forward my 1st cruise, and Im getting lots of tips from these message boards.

In case you were unaware the museums are free in the UK so looking round Greenwich wouldnt hurt the purse.

Enjoy your cruise too.

Default Celtic Kingdoms-July 3, 2009

My wife and I are on Celtic Kingdoms for 7/3/2009.
Any helpful info would be appreciated, especially about shore excursions(HAL or private).

Default Greenwich pier

If you go to the HAL site and search for Captain Albert's blog for July 2-4, 2009, you will find a complete description of the pier and timings involved. We will be on the Sep 11 2010 Prinsendam overnight at Greenwich, and our time ashore will be affected by the tides for departure.
