Default Officer Jobs in Cruises But howto find?

Hi,

Mainly cruises has mix-nationality crew but officers (deck and engine) generally European based (English and German) and i want to ask you any company which accept Navigation officers from other countries?

Because i'm Turkish and i have Oceangoing Unlimited Watchkeeping officer certificate but when i apply for a job they generally dont accept..My dream to work in cruise but i dont know howto realize it.. In google i found many Scam websites just taking money and sending some scrap e-book but at the end nothing happens..

So help me how can i directly communicate personnel departments?Because some manning agents also just took money and after lost

Thanks for your answers from on now

Regards

If you go to each individual cruise line website, scroll to the bottom of the page, there will usually be, "job opprotunities" listed there. Also, go to the Crew forum here, and hopefully you will get some asnswers there too..good luck!

If you find you don't get any work at first do keep trying. There are two suggestions I do have for you. One is to perfect your English more and as boring as it might be work on writing in English with proper grammar. You'll have to read and communicate critical instructions in English if you're working on a cruise ship that operates generally in English. So the better you are there the better your chances. Take some classes if you have to.

Another thing to do though it might be expensive... take a trip through parts of Europe and drop off a resume in person at some of the cruise ship offices. I don't know how much it would increase your chances since a lot of recruiting is done online these days, but it's a good excuse to take a trip. I was in Istanbul myself and got tired of site seeing and the tourist areas. I wanted to see more of the local areas and culture so for fun I took off trying to find guitars and play station 2's. Not items they generally sell to tourists I saw quite a bit more of Istanbul that way.

I hope to come back again, there's so much to see in Turkey and so much good food.

Best of luck with you dreams!

No offense, but your posts here indicate that you might want to work more on your English. Cruise ship officers have to be able to communicate well and I have trouble figuring out some of your grammar. Every language has different syntax structures and to get the kind of job you want , you need to be able to shift to the English version. Which is not easy, by the way! Even for those of us born and raised here.
Good luck on your job hunting.
