Safe to go to Labadee, Haiti?? Fighting at this port?

I've heard that there is fighting going on in Haiti...does anyone know if it's safe to port there? We're cruising on Royal Caribbean this Saturday, and I'm sure the Capt. will make other plans if it's not safe, just want to know if anyone has heard of anything....

At this point I have not heard anything, but you are correct, if there is any unrest at or near Labadee, they will cancel the port of call. The beach that Royal Caribbean uses is totally fenced in and guarded all the time anyway. Its a beautiful spot, I hope things are fine and you can go there.

I wouldn`t worry, as Donna said , its all fence in and there are arm guards at the gate.RCL would not stop there if there was any
trouble. they would not chance it.

The others are exactly correct, it is a beautiful fun spot to relax and the whole area is fenced in and if it was unsafe you wouldnt be going there
