Approximately 1 1/2 years ago, I booked our cruise rome-ft lauderdale on 18 nov 2009 CDWL5G with a TA. We selected and confirmed cabin B401. This April while making shore excursion reservations, I noticed I was in cabin B433 which is directly adjacent to the elevators. I advised my TA and he said Princess made the change and there was nothing he could do about it. After long conversations with Princess, I discovered my TA made the change on 18 april at 11.30 in the morning. When I again confronted my TA, he advised me the error was made when he was reducing the price on my cruise. Of course, B401 is now sold and the new owners will not move. There is not another room open on this ship on this cruise. Everything is waitl isted. My TA advises he is working with Princess to find me another room but I do not have any confidence in anything he has to say. Further, we selected beds in queen config and now find we are in twin config and cabin B433 on the grand cannot be made into queen config. There are many bad reviews on Cruise Critics regarding cabin B429, 431, 433, 435 on the Grand. I am in contact with Princess customer service MS Victoria Haneman and they have notified the dispatcher that if a room becomes avail, to give it to them who will in turn offer it to me. I feel totally helpless. What rights do I have in this matter? How do I know anyon is telling me the truth? Can I cancel this cruise and get all my money back. I do not want to spend this kind of money and have a lousy cabin for 33 days. This is our 9th cruise on Princess. Any guidance you can provide me will be appreciated. I'm trying to find out specifically how cabin B433 on the grand is laid out. Does it look like other BC category rooms in Baja i.e. b401 or does it look like the photo of B429 someone posted on Cruise critics. Thank You sam
