Me and my lovely wife are planning a cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to the Keys and Mexico. I understand my document requirements for returning to the US, but will I need anything special to visit Cozumel and Costa Maya...like a Visa or visitor card or something???
Nope, just carry your cruisehip card on and off the ship. Some cruisers like to carry along a copy of their passport, but leave all your extra cash, credit cards, etc. in your cabin save. Just bring enough for the day.
Welcome to Cruisemates, tnj470! As long as you and your wife are US citizen's you'll be fine.
You should also take a picture ID (driver's license) into port.
As Donna said, don't take anything off the ship that you won't need. We usually take about $30.00 in cash and one credit card. We also bring a copy of our passports, just in case. It won't get you back into the US, but it will speed up the process, if necessary.
