Default Cruise to Alaska for kids?

Hi - I'm looking to book a cruise to Alaska with my hubby and 2 kids (10 & 7). I was thinking about going on the Volendam but read a review that it wasn't very fun for kids.

Can someone suggest a cruise line that the kids would enjoy?

Thanks for your help!

Don't know much about the kids program on HAL. I do know that Princess has a very good children's program.
If thinking about Alaska I would highly recommend picking a cruise that goes into Glacier Bay National Park.
Enjoy your cruise.

Carnival also has a good kids program. Glad you are doing Glacier Bay...my all time favorite cruise destination.

Alaska is becoming more and more of a family cruise destination on all lines. However if you want to try and ensure more kids present I'd recommend looking at Carnival or Royal Caribbean.

Post Kids and Alaska

We took our kids (S20 & D11) on a cruise to Alaska in 2005 and we were on Celebrity. Knowing that Celebrity caters to the more mature crowd we were told by our TA that in July there would be kids on board, so we took a chance.

If I had to do it over I would choose Royal Caribbean or Carnival because there was not a lot for them to do, but they still had a blast.
