Default Our Country Needs Carpenters !!!!

the same day I received in the mail my advance notification from the Census folks I also received by mistake Dave The Wave's copy of the AARP Bulletin :" :: and read this great quote:

POTUS Lyndon Johnson responding to failed efforts in 1964 to pass a comprehensive health plan for senior citizens (Medicare)

"any jackass can kick a barn door down, but it takes a carpenter to build one"

IMHO, no matter what the issue(s) are or which side you align with....this quote speaks to the urgent need that we need to build a foundation rather then tear down one

this is not a postings seeking debate..I just really love the quote..do my fellow posters have a quote that they love that speaks to the core of our condition

Not directly but :

"Today is the first day of the rest of your life ,namaste" .Originally attributed to Chief Joseph but apparently not true .I have no idea of the origin .In essence this quote can apply to anything and everything
