Default Power Supplies and the TSA

Folks,

I am for the first time taking my laptop on a flight. I have looked at the TSA website, but have been unable to find the answer to my questions.
Can I take the mouse and laptop power supply (cords and all) as carry ons?

I know I can take my camera, and spare batteries (still in the package - AA's), but can I take the battery charger on as carry on?

I know previously I did pack the camera charger in checked baggage, but since the rules seem to be changing I am now not sure. As well, since it is an AA battery charger, there are AA batteries in it. I could take the out and then keep it in checked baggage, I suppose.

At ant rate, any experience and/or thoughts are welcome. We are wheels up this Friday at 0720. Not a cruise ( that's in September aboard Solstice), but a few days in sunny Peurto Vallarta.

Thanks in advance,

No problem with power supplies or mice; I have taken both on 100s of flights.

Yes:

Laptop power supplies are fine. You will need to remove the laptop from your bag and place it in a separate bin. You do not need to remove your power supply, cords and other components from the laptop bag. The bag and laptop must go through the scanner.

Thousands upon thousands go through each day.

Take care,
Mike

Default Batteries

There are a few TSA restrictions regarding loose (i.e. spare, not installed in a device) lithium batteries...but I don't think that would apply to you. You should be fine.
