Default Question

I did a temporary Avatar change ,its not the one I plan to use ,I just did this to see if it would work. My question is this :how can I enlarge so that the faces on the photo are clearer ? The photo I plan to add is just me but I want to make sure that its visible as other peoples photos are .

Henry,
I had the same problem, my photo was too large and wouldn't even load....I asked for help. There must be some photo program you can use to get the desired pic you want as your avitar....Sorry, I'm not good with pics...Play around with it, may-be you can fix it...Otherwise, I'm sure one of the techies can help you out.

Default Crop in advance

You could edit the original photo, using any photo software that you may have or a simple utility such as Paint (which comes with most Windows computers). You would want to crop the photo so that basically only the people are showing (and not the background). Then load the cropped photo as your new avatar.

Yes:

You can use Paint (included with Windows), Irfanview (free download), Picasa (free download), Photoshop (must pay $$$) or any photo software to crop and edit the size of the picture.

You want it to be no bigger than 120pixels by 120 pixels.

The best avatars are "head shots". Scenery or group shots are not good because there is too much detail that is lost when it is re-sized.

If you have problems then PM me.

Take care,
Mike

Just a message to Mrs. Henry43 , I saw several of the avatar's that Mr. Henry43 tried and I couldn't tell anything about how either of you looked, except that someone in one of them had a beard (Hopefully, Mr.Henry43)!

Henry, I do like your beach scene avatar that is up right now !

Mr.Henry 43 has had a beard since 1970 and a mustache since 1968 .We've shared photos with the CM people we've gotten friendly with who will be on out Dec.cruise and if all goes well next week we hope to do some cruises which will give us the opportunity to meet all of the nice people on this site that do CM cruises .

That sounds wonderful! I also have a mustache (Estrogen, where the heck are you?), but no beard . DH has the family beard , thank goodness.
