Default Vancouver/Canada Place transportation

Hi. We are going on Holland America to Alaska next month out of Vancouver. Could you please let me know your thoughts on getting from YVR to the Canada Place Pier. We did not purchase transfers. Thanks.

Very easy to grab a taxi, about half hour ride. Just make sure your driver converts the cost into dollars for you.

Cabs are really easy as is the new Canada Line if you're ok handling your luggage a few blocks.

Thanks for that but what do you mean about dollars. The currency in Canada is dollars.

They will accept the US dollar as payment, just have some idea of the conversion.

They did complete the train line and when we were there on our Alaska cruise we used the train alot.

If you plan to have a few days in Van, get the frequent rides card.

The CND dollar is par or close to par on the US dollar and they will accept the US in most cases. Casinos in Canada will not take US dollars in their machines. You have to convert. The train/bus system will want CND.

another idea:
We went to the limo kisok as you are walking out of the airport and bought r/t fares for about the same as a cab/taxi. The limo is a flat fare where a cab/taxi can be more if there is traffic. Also, the ride is nicer and more comfortable.
