We will be going on the Carnival Spirit August 17th with our family for our 50th anniversary. Two of our 'kids' are in the military. One thing that is on the agenda is that my daughter is going to perform the reenlistment ceremony for my son. Right afterwards my son has to fax the paperwork to his base. My question is, is there a fax machine on board, and how much does it cost to use it? Thanks for your help.
I have to disagree with the Carnival Customer Service people. Most of them who have never taken a cruise. There are faxes onboard. I have received two faxes during my cruising. One was on Carnival Legend when I was selling some property.
It may not be available to the "general passengers" but the onboard Customer Service and Purser's staff have access to a fax machine. If you explain your situation I know they will be happy to accommodate you.
Even if for some strange reason they have eliminated the fax they can still scan the document and email it to whoever needs it.

When my wife and I were on the Glory in late April, we ran into some unforeseen complications with the house we were closing on, and we thought our Realtor was going to have to get us to sign and return some documents on very short notice. I called the Purser's desk and asked about faxing and charges. They were very understanding and said that they could receive a fax for me, and I could then fax it back out to my Realtor at no charge. They then gave me the ship's incoming fax number with instructions on what needed to go on the cover sheet of an incoming fax.
I ended up not needing to send or receive any faxes, but it was nice knowing the option was there if I'd needed it.
