Hi looking to book a cruise for next year and I need help.
What cruise line is the best and when do I go May or Sept I really want to see some whales.
We are both early 40s and want a bit of luxury but fun also.
Just start reading up, decide what ports/glaciers you want to see. In my research, I've found that Princess has the most ships and different itinaries to choose from, with other cruiselines having nice itinaries as well. Are you adding a land portion on to the cruise as well? Most start at either Seattle or Vancouver and there are quite a few Princess cruises that go one way, which really look good. There are so many factors to consider, best to take some time and narrow your search down..
Like Donna mentioned u need to do a little homework. Decide what itinerary you want; do u want to start in Seattle, Vancouver, or do you want to start in Alaska and work your way south. What shore excursions are a priority; do u want to go on a cruise tour. Most of the cruiselines have their own trains and buses to take you on a land excursion before or after your cruise; once you check out these options you may be able to narrow down your choices. Royal Caribbean, Princess, Holland America, Carinival all do Alaska cruises.

I too was reluctant to try one, now I almost like them better than the Caribbean...May-be some day Bruce will twist your arm and you'll go. Bet you love it as well. I think the next one after Allure will be Alaska again, gotta start saving now!
