I was wondering how the idea of Cruisemates came about . How was the staff selected ,the initial topics to discus ,the format of the site . Was this the first cruise message board on the internet ?

Whomever came up with the concept ,in my opinion,had a brilliant idea.

Cruisemates inception was back in the old AOL days of the 90's. It was a message board on AOL with Anne Campbell at the helm.

When AOL discontinued the message board Anne and Paul started Cruisemates. It was the first, or one of the first, online Cruise magazines.

Kuki and Linda were the two original chat hosts. Kuki was/is the "Cruise Director".

The other staff were selected by their backgrounds, knowlege and ability to help with the site. I just stuck around so much they put me to work.
