Cape Canaveral information
We are flying into the Orlando airport; we need a motel with shuttle from the airport and also to the cruise ship; are there recommendations? Also, we are booking our own air. What time do you think we could fly out of MCO safely getting from the port to the airport? Could we make a 10:30 a.m. flight? Just wondering. thanks for any advice you can give :)

To be on the safe side, I'd look into a flight that leaves around noon. You will have a good 45 minute drive from the port to the airport and you never know when the ship will actually be cleared to disembark.

i agree with Donna, i wouldn't book a flight much before noon

I'm not sure if any Orlando hotels have shutttles to the port . It is about an hour
from Orlando to Port Canaveral. Why not find out which hotel the cruise line uses. then buy there shuttle . also do it for the return. the cruise line is the best source for what time to fly out of Orlando. |

here is a limo company; they do transfers every week; you can ask them what time they recommend to fly out of MCO. Hope this helps. |
You will most likely have to fly into Orlando, either get a hotel at the airport and take shutttle the next day; or take shuttle from airport to a hotel on cocoa beach. the drive is about 45 minutes; hotels by the airport will provide free shuttles back and forth to airport; but not to cruise port. Hotels in Cocoa beach, a few provide free shuttles, but most charge 7-10 dollars per person for a one way shuttle to the port. I am sailing on Freedom of the Seas next year; I will book my return flight home around noon or 12:30
