Me and my wife are 55 and live in Orlando, we are looking for a cruise with a new nice ship, great entertainment, and good food. These are much more important than a "good deal" We have been on princess and disney and enjoyed. did not like the "fun ship" looking for eastern or southern caribbean.
try rcc advent of the sea/southern carib tour.
big ship-yes. but plenty of private space as well.
sails out of san juan.
stay an extra day at the ritz carlton.
Why not look into Oasis or Allure of the Seas, that may fit for you....There is for sure lots to do onboard and I've heard the food is pretty good and you really can't beat the entertainment..
I would say Try the Eclipse or any of the new Solstice class ships. This ship lookls like a high end hotel. The Ocean view Cafe has a wonderful selections,and is designed beautifully. Quisine is a fun place to dine and the Tuscan Grille and Murano dining room especially, is a romantic, quiet, personal dining experience.
The spa is to die for..The lawn area is quite unique, and the pool area is outrageous....To my mind, for wht you are looking for, thia ship fits the bill..elegant, romantic,and great food!
