Smile staterooms

I was reading some other posts and they were saying when you first get on the ship that your room wont be ready for awhile I was just wondering how will we know when its ready? And also if you can take the towels from the ship to use at the beach. 35 days until our first cruise to hawaii 14 days with a balacony room,

Usually it is about 1:30 when the rooms are ready.
Yes you can take the beach towel off the ship just be sure to return it otherwise you will be charged for it.

Default Rooms ready

Often they aren't ready when you get onto the ship and the staff will take you or let you know the lunch buffet is open for guests or you can wander around for a while, have a hamburger and going away drink..

depends upon what time you board, on average your stateroom should be ready sometime after 1pm or so. If your room isn't ready, head to the buffet, grab some lunch, pack your bathing suit in your carry-on, hit the pool, or what we do is use this time to explore the ship, get to know her, if you have and dining issues or questions this would be the time to head to the dining room and talk with the Maitre D., or make your spa appointment

Listen for the announcements! They'll tell you when you can go to your room.

I could be wrong, but when boarded GOS in September, they told us at check-in that our room was ready. I know on Carnival DREAM, they made a big announcement on the PA system, that you could go to your rooms.
