Proposal on Cruise, Any Ideas/Help ?

I will be sailing this summer on RCCLs 'Explorer of the Seas' and would like some advice on the best way to 'surprisingly' propose to my girlfreind. We have been on this ship before so I have an idea of the layout, activities, etc. I don't know if I can contact the cruise line or even the cruise director directly for help. Any feedback would be great.

contact RCL's special services department. If you want to so something special during dinner at a show etc, etc, they will be able to help. Since you and your lady have sailed this ship and itineary before is there someplace special for the two of you on one of the islands? that would be a great place to "pop the question"

Just curious - are you planning a public or private proposal?

I was thinking public.

Funny, there is another thread on the subject in the Carnival forum.

Will your public proposal be well received by your girlfriend?

I would be mortified if my fiancee took a very special and private moment and made a public spectacle of it. Might just be me though.

Personally, I don't get the whole "public" proposal.. You know your girlfriend best.

If I were a guy, I'd go for a private proposal an a beach, or perhaps a onl deck at sunset, or even at dinner.

your options are almost only limited to what you want to do, you know her best, if you want to propose to her during an onboard activity then you would have to go see the cruise director as soon as you board to set that up. If you want to purchase flowers, champagne, balloons that type of thing thats why i recommended contacting the special services department they would handle that type of thing. Anything that you could arrange before you sail would be best to make sure all goes well and that she is surprised
