I wa reading another post today that was talking about hurricanes.I was just wondering just exactly when Hurricane season is?Living in the Pacific Northwest we dont hear alot about the hurricane season or might not pay much attenton to it.
It's also one of my favorite times to cruise. Sept - Dec have low rates because of hurricane season and the kids are in school. I've sailed NUMEROUS times during hurricane season and other than having one port bypassed I've never had a problem.

Living in the hurricane area the reality is that most hurricanes happen from Aug to Oct. but we do have to be at least partially prepared beginnig in June.
It is possible to take a cruise and end up going Eastern instead of Western Caribbean or vice versa. But the captain will always make sure to keep you safe. And I would rather go to place I had not planned on going to than get in the way of a hurricane.
