I was looking around on Carnivals web site when they ask me for my area code then a little message came up saying Filtering by resident rates Oregon.Surely they dont have diffrent rates for diffrent states so why do they do this? Maybe just a marketing ploy or something just wondring.

They do indeed on occassion have "resident rate specials". A travel agent could check for you. On the Carnival web-site it's more marketing ploy than assistance

Give them all the information you ask and a Vacation Planner will be calling you any day. ROFL
