Default Alaska RCL HA or Celebraty?

New here and hope I am posting in the correct forum.
I have been on 2 and have the 3rd cruise booked on RCL. Looking at booking a oneway cruise to or from Alaska next year. From my research I have found that RCL, Holland America and Celebraty are the only major lines that offer oneway.
While not dissatisfied with RCL at all, I would like to experience another cruise line.
For those of you that have been on RCL and one or both of the mentioned lines, Could you relate your experinces on the different lines? I am partically interested in your opion on food, entertainment and service. Cruise will not be based on exscurson.
Thank you

Another major cruiseline that has many ships in Alaska is Princess, I would look at their itiniaries as well. They have pretty good food and entertainment. I believe they have more ships there than the others you mentioned. I would also look at all the ports and do one that has a good glacier stop, those are amazing...

Hi

I know you say excursions are not important but make sure to see Glacier Bay - the raison d'etre for visiting Alaska IMHO.

Holland America Line is the cruise line for Alaska. Alaska is their specialty.

HAL and Princess were the "pioneers" of now mass market Alaska Cruising...... 1st choice would be HAL followed closely by Princess. Check those itineraries closely for the best Alaska experience rather than just the lowest price !

Princess is adding another ship to the NB/SB run between Vancouver and Whittier.
I've done a 14 NB/SB to Alaska on both Princess and HAL.
Preferred Princess by a long shot .

BTW--All the tours by both Princess & HAL are operated by HAP.

The Sapphire is moving from Seattle to Vancouver next year.
The Star will be sailing from Seattle as is the Golden.

Thanks all. I will check out Princess.
The reason that my selection wasn't going to be based on shore excursions was; I have a sister in Anchorage and have visited Alaska 7 times. Seen many many glaciers, whales and a lot of scenery in main portion of the state.
My sister is flying home for moms birthday at the end of the month and am trying to get our options so we can talk about it while we are all togather. It will probablely be a northbound family cruise, since we all have different amounts of vacation time. Mom & Dad are retired and can stay the whole summer. That way we each can stay in Alaska as long as our time permits.
My sister in Alaska has never been on an inside pasage cruise and would meet us in Vancovour.
After posting, I saw the forum on Cruise Cuisine. Very helpful.
Again thank you

i agree with the others, Princess and HAL having been doing Alaska longer and better, they seem to have it figured out, and do it very very well
