Cruisemates beware of crooks who use other friend's email addresses

The following email was sent using a cruise mate's email address to bilk me out of money. The dummies who wrote it used terminology which reflected their origin: "came down here to Wales United Kingdom." The cruise mate I knew would never write anything like this. The story is prepostorous and does not ring true other than the final line which talks about saving a dog. she is an animal lover. I knew that this was not my cruisemate, but i did want her to know that someone was using her email address so I pased the information onto her so that she could take appropriate action.

I'm writing this with tears in my eyes,I came down here to WALES UNITED,KINGDOM for a short vacation unfortunately i was mugged at the park of the hotel where i stayed,all cash,credit card and cell Phone were all stolen from me but luckily for me i still have my passports with me.


i 'have been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and my flight leaves in few hrs from now but I'm having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let me leave until i settle the bills..I am so confused right now and thank God i wasn't injured because I complied immediately.

Yes, I have received something like that myself, saying they are a friend/relative, even happens on FB, so yes, beware.

My current business partner travels the world shooting competativly. I know when he goes.

I recently got one of these from him saying he was stuck in some foriegn country. Too bad it wasnt true

I am pretty sure the original post is referring to email addresses from the mates from cruises, not an email from CruiseMates.com.
