Default Question anout a passport

We are leaving for our cruise Jan.29.My wife's passport expires July 19.We will be back from the cruise on Feb.12.
Will there be a problem if she does not renew it prior to the cruise?

There won't be a problem for a cruise.

Some countries want you to have a passport that has more than six months when you are traveling to those places. But for a cruise that's returning to the same destination that you embarked in, your wife's passport will be fine.

I hope that you have a wonderful cruise.

LF, you are welcome.

I would like to add that recently a cousin of mine went to Europe with less than 2 months left on her passport. They complained when she left from JFK but she still went for a couple of weeks and came back.

Where is the cruise going? For my cruise, since it was a closed loop, I didn't need a passport. Ours are among the missing...check with your cruise line/TA.

it may depend on where you are going
If a closed loop from the USA you do not need a passport
some cruise lines required a passport valid for 6 mths no matter if a closed loop cruise or not

I sent my passport in to re-new right after Thanksgiving and got the new one back last week. I was surprised at how fast we got the new one!

Unless your cruise line specifically demands one, this closed loop cruise, does not need a passport...NCL did not require one of us. Congrats btw..
