currency?????
 
We are cruising NZ & Au in January/08. I am wondering if I should change our $ to NZ & Au currencies here in Canada before travelling or do so when in the appropriate countries. Is it a good idea to arrange your own tours with the locals when in port (as in the Caribbean) or best to book the ship's tours?

I would suggest smallish denomination travellers cheque's and cash them in when you need to?
Most local banks have foreign exchange facilities.
