Does anyone know of a reliable tour company that can provide a shore excursion to the Panama Canal? Azamara Quest is not offering any excursions through the canal for Oct 31 sailing even though the ship is in port for the whole day. I'm quite disappointed since the reason we decided to take this particular cruise was to go into the canal by ferry which was initially offered on the Celebrity website. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
I just spoke to a shore excursion rep. from Celebrity. She said that the excursions listed for this sailing are "possible" ones. The only way to see if the one you want is being offered is to provide a booking #. I told her that this was quite misleading. I have emailed myfriendmario.com and am awaiting a reply.
I googled this tour group and came up with several SIGNIFICANT complaints: drunken tour guide, missing/nearly missing the ships departure, being left to bake in the sun in a bus for > 30 minutes, etc.
Based on what I read, I decided NOT to sign up with this tour.
I too am disappointed in the excursions offered on the Journey 10/27; and they've changed our itinerary a few times.
I received a response from this tour co. They said that they are not doing tours through the canal on Nov.6. If anyone has any other suggestions, I would appreciate it.
WE TOO WANT TO DO A PARTIAL TRANSIT. "MY FRIEND MARIO" HAS TOLD ME THEY WILL DO ONE IF THERE ARE 50 PEOPLE! LETS ALL GET TO THE SHORE EXCURSION DESK AND TELL THEM WE WANT TO DO THIS!!!!!!!
