They have restored one engine so they now have air conditioning, galley, elevators and plumbing so the passengers are now more comfortable. However, they are still without propulsion and five crew members suffered smoke inhalation during the fire and one crew member is seriously injured. That crew member will be evacuated to a mainland hospital.
This is very similar to the Carnival Splendor problem and like the Splendor the Quest will probably have to be towed in. At least there are plenty of shipyards in South East Asia that can repair the vessel and at least get her moving but the Quest will definitely miss some sailings.
Take care,
Mike

I just read that they do have propulsion restored and are heading for Sandakan, Malaysia. Larry Pimantel (President of Azamara) will meet the ship when it docks and the one crew member who was to be evacuated has improved and is still on the ship.
The rest of the current voyage will be canceled and Azamara will arrange for transportation and hotel for the passengers.
I hope Quest makes it in with no further problems and that she can get back underway soon.
Take care,
Mike

I echo that statement. The cruise industry does not need any more incidents.
