I will be visiting St. Martin in April and wish to visit Orient Beach. Is Orient Beach just topless? Is a cab the best mode of transportation from the ship? Cost? Forgive me this will be my first cruise and I'm want it to be the best...Any info would be of help..thanks
Orient beach is beautiful and most of it on the left side is optional topless, however the right side is topless/bottomless and there is a nudist resort located at the far right end. I took a taxi once and think it was around $15-20 from phillipsburg, and let the driver know when you want to be picked up and they'll return. Usually on cruise days there will also be a number of available taxis at the beach in case yours doesn't return. Don't forget the spf 2000 or you'll burn your buns ;-)

There are plenty of cabs to take you out there, I think we paid about $15.00 each way and there are plenty of cabs to get you back. You may also find others to share the cab and also the price. The beach is a topless beach, but right next to it is a nudist beach and they pretty much just stay over there, but occasionally you'll see them walk by. Its really a pretty beach, lots of water sports and truly a nice afternoon, go and enjoy it.
