Hello...has anyone taken the Historic Harbor Cruise/Discover Atlantis shore excursion offered on Explorer of the Seas? I noticed that it offered a harbor cruise...is this a sailboat or more of a tour boat/ferry/tender type boat? I don't like riding in those small sailboats too much!!
Is this a good excursion? We have discussed going on our own, but would like to tour the Atlantis grounds and see the aquariums, etc.
Thanks is advance for any comments or suggestions.
We took the exact tour offered but through Carnival. The boat is a ferry type tender, but don't worry you are not on it for too long. You won't regret taking this tour. Atlantis is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to!
Thank you BL for your reply. I am anxious to see Atlantis...I have read so much about it. Were you able to use the beach at all?? The details of the excursion are so vague! Thank you again for your reply!
We did the sight seeing tour with a van and driver which took us over to Paradise Island. What an experience. We went into the hotel and saw some of the aquarium....it was breathtaking. I know you are going to really enjoy it there.
My husband and I took the cruise/Atlantis tour also when we sailed the Disney Wonder. The Atlantis tour is pretty interesting and then you can enjoy the casino, if you like that sort of thing. No, you do not get to use the beach. You have to pay separately to use the beach, unless a guest of the hotel. They have several shops to look through also. We enjoyed it.
