St. Croix

Have not seen any reviews good or bad on St. Croix. We are visiting in October - any suggestions?

If you like to snorkel the Buck Island excursion is suppose to be the best. I know it sold out on our trip. We took a taxi over to the other side of the island and went
to a fort and went in a lot of neat shops. We also went around the port area but it wasn't as nice. I heard they have a nice beach excursion offered too but we were pretty toasty already and was headed for St. John the next day so we didn't do that one either.

St Croix is a pleasant enough island.. not the best beaches in the Caribbean, but..
Bucaneer Resort is one option.. think they charge a couple of $$ to use their facilities.
If u have time, check out the Domino Club and the beer drinking pigs there. Buying them a couple of brews was the highlight of my St Croix visit <G>

St. Croix is not one of the better ports. If you've cruised the Caribbean before, you will note that many of the shore-excursion vendors are not of the quality you find on other islands.

The shopping is not all that good. But if you play golf.... you'll have a great time!!!
