There is alot of contraversy regarding swimming with the dolphins. If anyone has done this in Roatan, can you tell me how it appears that the dolphins are treated?
Are they penned in to a small spot or is it a nice setting?
Also, was wondering if everyone gets to swim with them or if they just don't feel like doing it then you lose out?
The cost of this with Norwegian Cruise Lines is over $75.00 per person, is it worth it?
We did this as a day trip from the Norweigan (Sun, Sky? I don't remember) cruiseship last November.
It was great. The dolphins are treated wonderfully & with a lot of respect. They are used for one group, then they are rotated - not 'worked' all day at all. They also have access to the ocean - though I'm told they keep pretty close to home as that's where they're fed.
I recommend this (& then going over to the beach for volleyball & bbq) day alot!!!
