Jungle Queen
We are staying in Ft Lauderdale 1 night after cruise and were wondering about info on Jungle Queen dinner cruise. Any info and feedback appreciated.

Also wondering if there are any good hotels in close proximity to the departure point for the Jungle Queen?

Re: Jungle Queen
There are a number of hotels along the road where the Jungle Queen docks. There is the Sheraton Yankee Clipper just before you get to the Jungle Queen dock and the Radisson Bahia Mar which is just past. I've stayed at the Radisson and it is a good full service hotel offering all facilities and services.
I have not done the dinner cruise but have done the afternoon tour on JUngle Queen. It is fun , a bit "cheesy" and a great way to spend an afternoon and see the intercoastal waterway. This is not a Disney world attraction , but , can make for a fun family afternoon.
I personally would do the afternoon boat ride and then walk north on the road opposite the beach a block or two to one of the many good outdoor restaurants. Gram and I like Pussers which has indoor and outdoor service.
I can also recommend taking a few dollar cab ride north to Lauderdale by the Sea
and going to a fun and very casual restaurant right on the beach called Aruba.
The deli at the Bahia Mar Marina makes great breakfast and lunches and has outdoor tables to eat (good prices, about 200 feet to Jungle Queen dock).

Re: Jungle Queen
Instead of taking the Jungle Queen, you could go on the Water Taxi for much less and you can get on and off. The Marrriott or Hyatt 66 are just around the corner from the pier and on the intercoastal waterway and taxi stops, and there is also a brand new Radisson nearby. We stayed at the Amerisuites one night pre-cruise and had plenty of time to do the complete circle. It happended to be raining so we did not get on or off at any of the taxi's numerous stops which you can do. Go to Los Olas for unique shops and fine restaurants. I learnt last week that on Priceline, the Hyatt is the only 4 star Beach Resort hotel. Someone got it for $60! That's a steel.
Bon Voyage

Re: Jungle Queen
The jungle queen is an entertaining evening and the food is very good. Worth the price. The show is good but is not changed very often. But if this is your first time, you will enjoy.
